Privacy Policy — Reply Assistant for LinkedIn

Reply Assistant for LinkedIn ("the extension") helps you draft replies to your LinkedIn messages using AI. This policy explains what data is processed and where.

Data stored on your device only

The following never leaves your browser's local extension storage: your settings, your "About me" profile, your style examples and memories, and — if you use your own key — your OpenAI/Anthropic API keys. You can delete all of it at any time via Options → "Clear all extension data", or by uninstalling the extension.

Message content

Bring-your-own-key mode: the content of the conversation you are replying to and your drafting instructions are sent directly from your browser to OpenAI or Anthropic using your own API key, subject to their terms. We never receive it.

Managed mode (free daily drafts / Pro): the same content is sent to our server, which forwards it to OpenAI or Anthropic to generate the reply. We process this content transiently to serve your request and do not store conversation content on our servers.

What our server stores (managed mode only)

• An anonymous device token (a random identifier generated by the extension) and usage counters, used to enforce the free-tier quota.
• Aggregate usage metrics per assist session — the number of AI calls and the token counts — used to monitor cost and capacity. These are counts only; we do not store the conversation or the generated text.
• If you subscribe to Pro: your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and the email used at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers.

What we don't do

No selling of data, no advertising, no tracking or analytics inside the extension, no reading of LinkedIn pages other than the messaging thread you are viewing while you use the assistant.

Data deletion

Local data: Options → "Clear all extension data" or uninstall. Server-side (managed mode) data: contact us and we will delete your device record and subscription linkage.
